The LIONS CLUB OF JERSEY SWIMARATHON 

The Jersey Lions Swimarathon is a major community event in the Jersey calendar. Each year over 2,500 swimmers participate, in over 400 teams (max 8 per team) in swimming lengths of the Les Quennevais Pool, Jersey. The swimmers are sponsored and supported by friends, family, work colleagues and businesses, etc. as the laps are counted for their 55 minute relay session. The event is run over 5 days from Wednesday morning to Sunday evening in mid March each year and since its inception back in 1972, it has become a major fundraising and social event, spanning generations of islanders.
